· On this site, consumers can :
o cost effectively purchase their health care requirements; and
o manage their healthcare spend
o Open and manage a healthcare savings account and other purchase other health related financial services products from chosen financial services partners.
· The content, services and materials available on the website is owned and operated by Avantis Health Limited, an Irish registered company, number 446878 whose head office is at The Enterprise Centre, Georges place, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin.
ii. KEY POINTS
· Avantis is not involved in the provision of any healthcare or medical advice or diagnosis.
· All information provided on the website is intended as a guide only and should not be taken as a substitute for professional medical advice.
· The website is focussed on:
o supporting customers to purchase their healthcare
o supporting customers to manage their healthcare spending effectively; and
o enabling healthcare providers in the Avantis Health Network to offer medical services / diagnostics / devices / goods for purchase.
· We only carry out high level screening on providers limited to:
o Their existence
o Their registration with relevant registration authority
o The have public liability insurance
o We comment on the types of hotel services available e.g. single room, etc
· We do not screen or validate any content posted by healthcare providers, nor do we endorse or recommend any particular healthcare provider in the network.
· If you decide to purchase and healthcare, appliance, diagnostic or goods from a healthcare provider in the network, you do so at your own risk.
· We would recommend that you undertake your own research into any healthcare provider listed on the website and that you should consult with your doctor or primary healthcare provider before engaging any healthcare provider from this website.
· You should be aware that the results of any search you perform on the website for healthcare providers should not be construed as endorsement by Avantis Health of any particular healthcare provider or constituting any comparative ranking of healthcare providers.
· Consumers can also open and manage a health savings account with Avantis Health Network banks. We are acting as an intermediary and do not hold or have any access to consumer deposits. The commercial relationship is between the Bank and they customer.
iii. Services we provide
· Avantis Health acts as a healthcare purchasing service for individuals seeking to access medical services. We have created a network of healthcare providers, situated locally and internationally, be they individual medical practitioners, hospitals, clinics, pharmacies who want to provide medical services.
· Avantis Health negotiates the purchase of treatment between Clients and Healthcare Providers either through the website or other means. (assumption that the provider is legally permitted to provide the service they are offering)
· Avantis gathers information and carries out minimum validation of various worldwide Healthcare Providers before they are entered to our network. The information covers their facilities and services. This information should assist the consumer in making a decision on choosing their preferred Healthcare provider. It is recommended that the consumer conduct your own research into a chosen Healthcare Providers. When the consumer chooses a Healthcare Provider for the three quotations provided, then we will purchase the treatment to maximise the value the consumer receives and to ensure that a contract exists between the consumer and provider.
· Avantis Health will audit a consumer medical bill against it “fair Price medical database”. If it believes that the charges are out of line with fair prices, we will negotiated with the provider on behalf of the consumer. Any savings are shared between the consumer and Avantis Health.
· Avantis has created a network of Banks who are willing to offer a health savings account and other financial services to Avantis customers. Avantis will compare the banks offering but will not recommend a Banks. The customer will choose based on the information provided. We will enable the consumer to purchase these products through our Website.
iv. Services we do not provide
· Avantis Health does not endorse or recommend, any Healthcare Provider or Bank in the network.
· We are not medical professionals nor do we hold ourselves out to be medical professionals and will not discuss or advise on any issues relating to medical treatment with Clients or Healthcare Providers.
· We will negotiate a contract between the customer and the provider for the purchase of medical treatment, diagnostics, devices, goods etc but is not party to the purchase contract between you and Healthcare Providers in the network.
· As we cannot control the information provided by Healthcare Providers made available through this Website, we do not guarantee or endorse the authenticity, quality, safety or legality of any Healthcare Provider or the services provided. Our network entry criteria for providers is limited to authentication of :
o The existence of the provider
o Their registration with relevant registration authority
o They have public liability insurance
o Types of hotel services available e.g. single room, etc
· If a consumer chooses a Healthcare Provider to provide Medical Services and indicate your decision to Avantis through the Website. We will negotiate the contract for purchase of medical services / diagnostics etc to with the provider on your behalf. This contract will cover the price, date of service, and that the service will be delivered by the provider, penalties for breach. This does not in any way cover the quality of the treatment provided or in any way make Avantis Health a party to the contract. We will take a deposit form the consumer when the contract is agreed.
· We do not provide banking services but act as an intermediary with registered Banks to enable them to offer a health savings account to our customers
v. Content policy
· Avantis not responsible for provider or consumer content
· Avantis will seek to ensure the accuracy of provider information, however,
· We acts as a passive conduit for the online distribution and publication of information submitted through the Website,
· We have no obligation to screen content or information in advance and is not responsible for screening or monitoring material posted by consumers or Healthcare Providers.
· Consumers will are solely responsible for the content and information they provide to us to be published on the Website through our data entry, provider feedback or otherwise.
· We reserve the right to edit or remove any content if we believe it is untrue or that it may create liability for us.
· We have the right to publish consumer feedback / reviews of Healthcare Providers on the medical services consumer received.
vi. Age and responsibility
· Website Service is only available to and to be used only by individuals who are legally entitled to form such contracts under law in the jurisdiction in which they live..typically over 18.
vii. Data protection
· Data may be submitted by consumer onto the Website and transferred by Avantis Health to the Healthcare Provider, the processing of which is necessary to conclude the contract between the consumer and the Healthcare Provider.
· Consumers consent that in order to get quotations and purchase healthcare , Avantis will need to provide personal information, including any medical information provide to us by the consumer to Healthcare Providers.
· Note: some Healthcare Providers are based in countries where protections for personal data are not as strong as their country of residence or the European Union or US.
· We may also use consumer contact details, to contact them from time to time eg to update on healthcare quote or purchase or other matters concerning the Website Services – consumer consent to this
· Avantis endeavours to protect privacy of all users of the site Our privacy policy contains details of :
o our use of cookies,
o the type of information we collect,
o how we use it and
o further details concerning the circumstances upon which we disclose information,
viii. Provision of information
· If consumers wish to:
o get a quotation,
o purchase healthcare from a Healthcare provider,
o have your bill audited; or
o open a health saving account / other financial services products
consumers will be asked to register as an Avantis Health member and provide certain information including:
- contact details (phone number and email address),
- some medical information to allow us to present your data to Healthcare Providers who may be interested in providing Medical Services to you.
- Consumer warrant:
· information provided is up-to-date,
· accurate in all material respects,
· not the confidential property of others or in violation of any other third party’s rights,
· and is sufficient for us to facilitate the transaction.
· Information sent over the internet cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure – consumer and providers and financials services companies accept this….not liability on behalf of avantis
ix. Suspension/termination
· Avantis Health may at any time, without notice, suspend or terminate your access to this Website,
· Avantis Health is not liable to you or any third party for any suspension or termination of access to this Website.
x. Use of website
· All users of the site agree not to use the site for anything illegal in any jurisdiction
· No copying, modifying, etc of any site content or functionality
· accessing or using the Website in and from jurisdictions which restricts or prohibits same by local law
· No interfering with the functionality of the site
· Posting or submitting and material that are offensive, bullying , libellous obscene, breaking the aw etc…
